The BaseEdge Pro is the evolution of the BaseMan, the first digital measuring device for the base edge angle. Both devices were developed by us. With the BaseEdge Pro, we addressed all the weaknesses of its predecessor: a dial gauge with 0.01° resolution, a hardened straight edge and integrated LED illumination for the light gap method.
Why the base edge angle matters
The base edge affects your ski's behavior more than most people think. Turn initiation, stability, edge grip, it all depends on the base edge angle. Until now, you could only estimate it or roughly judge it using the light gap. With the BaseEdge Pro, you can measure it.
